Another shot at a new Twyla
Added 2016-01-24 02:52:03 +0000 UTCLast time I showed you a test image of a newly altered Twyla design for Iray renders I took on board the criticism that she still looked a little uncanny. I've actually had a lot of trouble getting her to look right and not creepy; it's a problem with Iray generally but particularly with Twyla.
It must be her design, so I've had another go making some more tweaks to the character. This render here is a little quick and dirty (meaning it's grainy and the shadows are jagged because I didn't run it through the long rendering process to improve the quality) but it should represent her pretty well.
I can't seem to have a shot where she looks at the camera any more. Twyla always looks kind of wall-eyed in those pictures. Still, I think this is an improvement. What do you think? Is this still uncanny at all? Does she look too much like a doll? Frank opinions are fine, I'm still working on it.

I'm starting to think I should just make the pictures for LMO in 3Delight, since the conclusions seem pretty universal that she looks uncanny in Iray.

2016-01-24 03:19:58 +0000 UTCSomething about that smile with the look in her eyes that makes her appear doll-like almost in a horror-movie sort of way in this picture. It's just her eyes and the way she's smiling though, apart from that it looks great.
