Launching The Muay Thai Library Instagram - clips, legend profiles, Library vlogs and more

We've just launched The Muay Thai Library on Instagram and it's pretty exciting. Everything we do in the Muay Thai Library project is long form and in-depth, and for a long time we stayed away from pretty much everything short on social media, but the Library has grown so huge, and so full of information (with over 120 commentary hours) we felt we had to find other ways for people to enjoy and study the Library other than sitting down to a wonderful hour long of film study.

Once we created the account and put a few clips up we knew it was awesome. Now you can get keyholes into these epic sessions, discover sessions you really don't want to miss, or be reminded of a session you might want to rewatch to get more out of.

Things You'll Find On Our Instagram

1. 2-3 minute clips from sessions capturing something special, right now posted every other day. Surgical dives into epic sessions.

2. Profiles of legends and krus that are in the Library, photographs from their fight days.

3. Stories that follow my experiences in creating the Library. Conversations I have with legends, behind the scenes clips, heads up on coming sessions.

4. Short vlogs talking about specific sessions or lessons I've learned from legends

5. Kevin's fine art photography of legends and krus.

I didn't think that Instagram would be a wonderful platform for the Library and all that we are trying to do, but I'm honestly very excited by the ideas that are coming to me and Kevin and the things we are creating over there. It's just one more way to think about the Muay Thai Library project! If you have ideas for short form ways of thinking about and enjoying the Muay Thai Library, and sharing it's special qualities with others.

Interesting things up so far:

Boonlai teaching kick variation

Napapol teaching inside boxing angles

Kru Ali teaching Old School ways

Attachai teaching strikes off of teep fakes

Jaroensap teaching countering opponent punches with elbows

Karuhat teaching his melt and float footwork

All these clips are just a couple of minutes, you can watch the full hour long session in the Library if you see anything that inspires you. The Library Table of Contents here.

Thank you everyone for supporting this wonderful project, and making it possible! Your study and passion makes it go. If you have a chance spread the word about what we're doing, we have a lot of great plans for the next year!

Another way you can enjoy the Muay Thai Library project:
