Update on the project that has had me underwater these last couple months. The collectible Saphira statue went live Monday and... well... it's doing okay 😅

FROM THE CAMPAIGN:

This collectible statue was modeled by Otavio Liborio with Christopher's direct supervision, including over 50 back-and-forth feedback iterations on everything from Saphira's head to her wings, scales, pose, and base.

She stands at around 12" (~30.5cm) tall from base to the top of her wing, and on a 5" (~12.7cm) base decorated with custom script in the human runes of the World of Eragon, all of which were hand drafted by Christopher himself!

Saphira will be made of grey injection-molded PVC, maximizing not only her durability but also topping out the amount of detail we can pack into the model!

PLEASE NOTE: Injection molding may result in slightly more or less detail than what we managed with the prototypes pictured throughout this campaign, which were 3D printed!

Saphira will come in 5 to 6 separate parts, all of which will be pre-magnetized to allow backers not only to snap her together in seconds, but also pull her apart to allow for convenient storage, easier painting for those who want to, and simpler movement from place to place!

Every Saphira statue will come with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by Bryce O'Connor, the project lead. If we crack our $250k Stretch Goal, the certificate will additionally be signed by Christopher himself!
