In response to Dad asking about the themes and interpretations : GY!BE in general are a super political band ; I don't know of the exact meaning of all the songs as they are pretty mysterious about everything. That being said, their music is definitely hopeful. The use of the sounds of explosions and the themes on fire raging in the valley ; it gives off hope for something after everything has been shed to nothingness, a regrowth from the ashes if you will. This is probably their most hopeful album up to now.

Being from Montreal, we're very blessed to be able to see them pretty often, going to see them next month! I'd love to see more of their stuff listened by y'all! My top recommendations would be their latest or Slow Riot for New Zero Kanada, Moya on that album just hits different. Probably one of my favorite songs of all time. BTW there are never any vocals on any GY!BE songs ; only vocal samples from discussions, presentations, speeches, etc. Also! Dont sleep on Harmonium! would be super happy to find out what you think of it.
