What did you think of the album?

UNCUT: Kanye West - Vultures 1 (Some Tracks)

Comments

Nope, I haven’t heard Donda, only the first two Kanye albums and the new one. Apparently I’m in for a treat when I delve further into his discography!

The FrontRoom

Has your dad reacted to Donda yet?

Chris Vasquez

Song “Paid”: “Old stomach is the new a**!” - Coldest line in the album lol

Fausto De Almeida

very true, agreed

The FrontRoom

vultures is a album where the more you listen you really appreciate the production and the way kanye put everything together, really shows his evolution even if it could be a step down in some peoples eyes its different. and thats the best thing about kanye how every time he drops something you always have something new to expect

Hayden Leavitt

Glad you gave it a listen :)

The FrontRoom

So far I’ve only heard The College Drop and Late Registration, both on our Patreon, so the next one will have to be Graduation. (dad)

The FrontRoom

I think they’ve only done college dropout and late registration

Anthony Mendoza

didn't they do it already?

Kamanda Hickey

I somehow don’t really like THAT many songs off this album but man Back To Me is sooooo catchy it’s ridiculous. And of course Freddie Gibbs absolutely murders the second half of the track. Love the reactions you guys!!!!! Much love

What Dad picked up on in Talking (to my ear) was a modulation or key change in Ty’s verse for just that one line. Good ear!

Chase Cannon

Album is basura aka 🗑️

Sovieski Perez

Donda was great… this album 😒. That said… I hadn’t listened to this before so enjoyed going on the journey with y’all.

Adrienne

When are you gonna show your dad graduation?

Anthony Mendoza

Growing up listening to old Kanye, it really makes me sad to hear him today. Back then we all felt like the sky wasn’t even the limit for him, but now it really leaves me wanting less of him. Regardless of all the antics and outbursts outside of his music, you’re exactly spot on, he just really is regressing lyrically. His beats are still good, but even the sound of his music doesn’t give you those deep feelings anymore, other than cringe and confusion.

Jordan Richardson

Jin, Aja Smith-love story Jin is the first Asian rapper. He's worked with Kanye and jay-z in 2004.

Ola Zanea Smith Jackson

In Talking: the sample that Kanye uses for the shouting part is from a clip from a cheer That’s very commonly heard and done at blk high schools. “You don’t want no problem, you just talk like you do..” there is more but that’s the gist lol

destinee robinson

Dad was on to something with the Lauryn hill comment. The line from Ex factor "it could all be so simple, but you'd rather make it hard". I believe that's where is thought process was going

jeff baker

I heard the first few songs and hadn't had time to listen to the rest. I'm glad to listen right along with you guys to the rest though. It gives me more appreciation for this project with both your thoughts.

Angel Miranda

Can't wait for the Graduation reaction! 😀
