Joe is very loved amongst the black community, many classic songs, my favorite is somebody’s gotta be on top

christopher scott

Mystical & Joe “Stutter” ! Smash hit of the Early 2000’s ! Mystical had two platinum hits @ the time with “Danger” and “Shake ya A**”. However “Stutter” falls perfectly in line with your request for Joe incorporation hip hop features

LeeD

I know you guys did Still not a player but I think you should do Don't wanna be a player

Amanda B

Good to know, thanks JG! (dad)

JOE is one of my most favorite male vocalists... Joe has a Live in Tokyo album/videos where he sings his hit (to me) My Love. Its my fave version of that song... and it is my favorite Joe song. He also has some acoustic performances on YT that are top tier. Joe is the vocalist on the original theme song alongside 50 Cent for Power. Joe is also the vocalist for Big Pun... Don't Want to be a Player... Joe is also a writer and has written for Luther Vandross, El Debarge, Babyface, Xscape and many other artists...

Love for you guys to do some old school usher you got it bad and nice and slow

Craig Burns

The switch up in the song at the end is very reminiscent of the 90’s r&b Bridge. Every song had it then and would almost always be the best part. Great reaction!

J G

Awww! This was one of Joe's first hits. Very romantic song ❤️ Classic!

Hodge House

Oh, I would love to see them react to Usher! Especially “Superstar”

Dawni Oliver

Joe’s voice is so smooth and gorgeous, I love his Song “Good Girls”, it’s probably my favorite outside of this one. You might also try Also Deborah Cox “How Did You Get Here?”, Avant “Don’t Say No, Just Say Yes” and Mary J. Blige “My Life”(actually the whole My Life Album is a masterpiece and highly coveted on R&B).

Dawni Oliver

Dad have you listened to Donny Hathaway? He was an artist from the 70s who's voice was comparable to Stevie

Mickey10 JB

Love Scene is THE ONE!

JOE plays guitar. Grew up with both parents as preachers. His siblings sing as well. This is my favorite artist PERIOD. I've seen him in concert several times too. JOE said he's heavily influenced by Marvin Gaye (he remade two of his songs "Get to This" & "Soon I'll Be Loving You"). You heard a Lionel Ritchie influence but I've always saw him more like Billy Ocean. Last point, he also did a great remake of Frankie Beverly & MAZE "Can't Get Over You" 🤌🏾 chef's kiss. Here's a link to his live acoustic performance of "I Wanna Know" https://youtu.be/oQFGxAjYW4E?si=M92yKDsOvkfBmDei

Donnell Jones… great suggestion!!

Cindy

Great choices!! I hella want em to react to that lyfe jennings song tho

Marco

I love hearing you guys go through the emotions of songs with eachother! You mentioned about 70s R&B and talking in the beginning of a song.. Kiss and Say Goodbye by the Manhattans is just like that! From 1976! It's also, such a good listen!

Shay Dominguez

Joe ft nas& mariah carey - thank god i found you

ryan thompson

Love you guys!! Please react to the following: -Eric Benét (Chocolate Legs, Pretty Baby, or Femininity) 🤌🏾 -Glen Lewis (It's Not Fair) -Lyfe Jennings (Must Be Nice) -Bilal (Soul Sista) -Chico Debarge (Love Still Good) -Ari Lennox (Literally any song)

Melaar

Please react to the following r&b cuts!! -fortunate by Maxwell -my first love by avant -before I let you go by blackstreet -anniversary by Tony! Toni! Toné -where I wanna be by Donnell jones -I wish by Carl Thomas -closer by goapele -missing you by case -anywhere by 112

Marco

Another Male R&B artist from around the same time as Joe is Avant. His songs “Separated” and “My First Love” ft Keke Wyatt are great intros to him. Also “Don’t Take Your Love Away” is a great start too

KayAlicia

This song brings back such great memories for me. It was popular when my husband and I were in our early 20’s and we had so much fun riding around the back roads of small town TX and listening to his CD.

TangieD

Glad you enjoyed, Cindy. We’ve actually recorded a reaction to a Boyz II Men track, but will keep you in suspense as to what one! Will be going up before too long. (dad)

The FrontRoom

What a great review! It made me fall in love with this song again! A couple of suggestions now you’ve taken the 90’s R&B route 😉 Silk - Because of your love H-Town - Ways to treat a woman Blackstreet - Before I let you go Boyz II Men - Please don’t go BTW: Case has a great song called Missing You… maybe worth listening to Greetings from the Netherlands

Cindy

We’ve covered one Wonder track so far, Pasttime Paradise off Songs in the Key of Life, and more will definitely be coming!

The FrontRoom

I'm glad y'all listened to this song. That breakdown is great (imo)! It offers to what he's expressing in this song. He features on A LOT of rap songs lol

January

So will you guys do Kai reacts to Stevie Wonder? If so, these songs will get my vote: Lately Ribbon in the Sky These Three Words I Wish Never Dreamed You’d Leave In Summer (a super sad one 😭) I love Stevie’s later songs. I guess imma a little younger than Dad. 😂

Jen M

Joe is great, I wonder how much of Usher Confessions album you all have heard….classic certified diamond album.

Brandon Jackson

Okay now you MUST do The Love Scene by Joe! Then you will have hit his three best known songs. The Love Scene is another R&B classic slow jam. Good Girls is another great song by Joe. He really is a phenomenal singer and shines when it comes to love songs.

Nicole

Great reaction!!…as far as Joe features on a rap song one that comes to mind is “Wanna Get To Know Ya” by G-Unit (50 cent’s group). Great song that samples a Marvin Gaye record.

Elizabeth Kelly

A great Joe song! I’m not the biggest Joe fan, but this was a great choice. On the other Joe video, someone recommended, Stutter (remix). That is a remix of an original Joe song, but the remix features the rapper, Mystikal (his skills are great). It uses the beat of one of my favorite hip hop songs (Passin Me By, Pharcyde) so it’s good all around!! The music video is on Joe’s VEVO on YouTube. I think you guys would enjoy that one.

Jen M

Lately by Tyrese is a great suggestion!!

Elizabeth Kelly

Another classic Joe song, I love it. Also...Joe and Tamia are on tour, if they come your way you should check it out. If you're not familiar with Tamia, she was big around the same time as Joe, she's Canadian (Windsor, ON) and had some big songs, one with a remix with Fabolous. That had to be her biggest hit.

jeff baker

For me that different section was like his final straw. He was so frustrated and pent up because he wants another man's lady. So that's him getting it out. Girl I want you so bad, I'll do anything for you and promise I'll treat you right. But he's not her man.... Yet at least

Jessica Pinkston

I think Dad would also love Sweet lady or Lately by Tyrese or Read your mind by Avant bc he likes this. Please react to some more Stevie Wonder!! That run from Stevie in the 70’s is the best creative run ever and even if you’ve heard most of the songs I’m sure Kai hasn’t heard all of the songs. And it would be a fun way for dad to show Kai some music. I wasn’t able to join the livestream unfortunately otherwise I would’ve suggested it there. Great reaction to an amazing song btw
