So the boyfriend gets to meet the father and without warrning. At least Rei didn't have time to clench up at meeting her father. You have to wonder why Rei was invited to meet with her father as well. We have to assume that it has something to do with the message from General Able. I was already starting to fuss at page 14 because I could see that Bryce was setting us up to jump off a cliff and then leave us for the week. I just hope some of these get answered before book 3. I just had a thought. Could this be part of the favors the Kamiya Corporation is going to be cashing in. "You want my daughter to what?" " We want her to get Rei to accept a sponsorship with Kamiya." How many political favors would it take to get General Able to call Aria's father to have her convince Rei?

I would love to see Bretz get some more time in the spotlight some time down the road. He is so invested in Rei in both training but also there seems to be a real emotional investment there. Everyone knows Rei is the Iron Prince, and he is under Dent's wing, but it seems like no one appreciates how much Bretz has coached and backed Rei.

Great chapter. I have a question. You mention in the chapter that Catcher has 3 inches on Rei. But I that i remember you mentioning that Rei broke 5.7 and Aria and Viv Are 5.10 and when Rei, Viv and Catcher looked for Aria in the cafeteria in book 1 its mentioned that Catcher had the Best vantage due to height. So I would guess Catcher is at least 6.1, maybe 6.2?

I mean more is fine but I am worried that it will take extremely long to get a full story. I love the story and everything, but I wish sometimes the story was a bit more compacted. These are big books that take long but the progress isn’t that huge in this book. At this moment no big things have wrapped up, which is a bit too bad in my opinion. I was at least expecting Rei to sign the contract with Kamiya and start using it. I’m sure Bryce wasn’t expecting to take a full book for just the school fights. I still btw think, or at least I hope, that Rei will sign with Kamiya at the end of the book. It’s just that aside from the group finally sharing their secrets, no problems were solved story wise. Aside from that I love the story. I also saw that Bryce doesn’t just have this book that he is writing and has a whole company. I just hope book 3 will have more substantial progress, because book 2 is in a span of at most 2 months I think. The fights were basically day after day spread out over less than a month. Ugh, I don’t like to complain because I love this story. I just need more books… I wish I could see the future and just read all the books ahead of their time.

Great chapter. I had a question about the pace of the books. The first book is fairly slowly paced even though Rei climbs 2 ranks it is spread out over half a school year. The second book I believe happens over a quarter of a school year(?) and Reis growth and capabilities is a lot more public. So my question is if Reis story will mostly be the first year, 3 books, and show the start of his journey rather than the whole journey and his endpoint as a god? Because the story feels a lot faster than I expected, being more used to webserials and progression fantasy. Or are you planning on keep writing more than 3 books?
