There’s one in the book also but it may be different. The one in the book is Rei basically saying that it’s not that he couldn’t have become the stormbringer alone but he never would have even tried. I can’t imagine Rei catching up to Lennon by the end of the first year though and Lennon isn’t as strong as those that have already graduated. Unless his CAD starts jumping 2 levels each time. I want to see Rei start practicing against Aria without his CAD called.

In the audio book for Iron Prince there is a quote from the Stormweaver about 25 years in the future at the start of a chapter and it’s in Rei’s voice.

There are hints of Rei rising to god like levels so I would assume that he passes the kings and becomes a one-man army. I wonder if these books will develop the story that far. If he continues to write at this level of detail (which I hope he does) it will take multiple books and years to tell.

In book one, Dent asked Rei if he knew what his CAD means, then she asked if he had made any branches or something of the sort. With Rei seemingly affecting those closest to him, I wonder if each of them will develop user-unique abilities and evolutions. It would be interesting to see if they start accelerating their growth speed to match his sometime in the future.

That is a good catch. I was trying to think about what they would be asking from Aria... But if it is Amina, that would make more sense.

I also noted that. As well as Stormweaver talking about the stories always portraying him on his lone life of violence (it never mentions Firesong at all, suggesting that he doesn't stay with the group, or the group disbands).

It would be funny if Aria's sister Amina replaces Reese as one of the type instructors. She is on the frontline and would be able to add look at the students and the instructions in a way the Reese can't. I also reread book one this weekend and payed more attention to the quotes at the beginning of some of the chapters. There is some good foreshadowing there in the case of Aria and maybe even Viv. At the beginning of Chapter 9 of book 1, it talks about the favorites new and old. It mentions Gatecrasher, Lasher, Aria of Flames and Stormweaver. I'm sure it's safe to say that Rei is the Stormweaver, and I would assume that Aria is going to be Aria of Flames because she is mentioned as one of thenewer favorites. It makes me think that Aria and Rei are going to continue to out pace the others.

I can't help but think that they're going to have to quit Galen's (and maybe follow Lennon/Dent into something more intense) as they're too disruptive to the school and their needs are too different ("You want my daughter to quit school?!?"). But then I think about how far Lennon is from their current skill levels and figure Galen's has a lot yet to teach them. Dunno.

Abel is running a bit too fast and loose with her new toy (Aka Rey). I don’t think she is going to like the end results of her meddling. In fact, I believe that she has made a serious tactical error in judgement with this latest reach into Rey’s personal life. Like buying beach front property at Krakatoa week before the island explodes kind of mistake.

It could be a bit of both and if they end up at global they could easily run into Rei’s sister Sara Thanks for the mystery chapter Bryce and meeting Aria’s Dad finally.

I think they're going to be going to the front lines to learn some more about what they face so Rei can be prepared, and Firesong as a whole. Viv I think is asking for it to get her own head in the game to see what she needs for it. Probably wrong on that though. I also think this is a prelude to them winding up going beyond Sectionals - it's pretty clear the whole team is becoming 'unique' in its own way, and it's been hinted several times in the first book and the second one here that under rare circumstances first years CAN go beyond. And what with the changes to half the team's devices, I think Central wants to push them as far as possible. No matter what comes of it. (Much to Dent and Guest's frustrations, I suspect.) Also, Bryce my man, you are a master at suspense, if you taught a class you could probably charge whatever you want for it. Thank you for being you in this, ha!

My theory is that Viv wants to go to the front lines, so the MIND is sending them all there. That's why Dent was so pissed off and why General Laurent didn't like hearing what General Abel had to say. This would also solve the issue of finding strong enemies in a dangerous environment for Rei, accelerating his growth even further.
