I am rereading Stormweaver 2 right now and I just have to give it up to you Bryce. I am currently on the scene with Jasper and her offer to Rei. The foreshadowing for Rei's temporal step and the things he will get from the Kamiya company is just fun to read now. Loving the series thus far!

I thought Dent verbally told Reese about his transfer a while back. So much so that I was surprised when he was the one to arrange a practice field after Rei got jacked up. Why is he pretending that this is brand new? Love love love the interplay! Viv is a nut. I am so curious about what she could've asked for.

I have a feeling that Viv said two things, one as many have said she said she wanted to be taken off the team, but I don’t think that she would ever say this without the second part, so she added that if she could train with Valera until she unlocked her ability she wants to stay. It would be funny if Bryce just hadn’t thought of it too much and was waiting to see what we were thinking to snag ideas hahahaha

When I reread the first book, it’s going to be so much easier to get through all of Reese’s bull knowing what’s coming for him 😈

I don't think any of the students saw the interaction between Dent and Reese there at the end. They are all busy loading onto the transportation. Viv is standing in the cold alone and even she is surprised that it takes so long for Dent to come out, suggesting that she can't see what is going on in the lobby.

I think the part where she’s getting into Reese’s face after she gave him his walking papers. She snarling in his face and gloating about his dismissal.

What part of their conversation would be enough for blackmail?

I’m surprised no one has thought of Viv holding Dent with blackmail (of her conversation with Reese) to try n pull strings to get Logan’s sister out from under their grandparents hands. Not dropping from the team, or extra training either. Dent had already told Rei and team Firesong that they would be getting extra, separate training at the beginning of sectionals. So it wouldn’t be that. We just learned about Logan’s back story, now it’s time to do a scene from a different angle. Either from Dent seeing about the sister, of from the sisters pov.

I loved the chapter. Reese gets to see what it’s like to be publicly humiliated instead of finding out privately. We got a little more insight into what central command has planned for Rei. I’m a little disappointed not to continue with Rei’s sister. I want to know more. Are we going to have to wait until book 3 before going further with that part of the story ?

Happy to see this chapter again, but I was really hoping that we would get a chapter of Aria meeting up with her brother, since he supposedly came to surprise her and potentially discuss the contract she sent him.

Everyone’s wondering what Viv asked about but I’m thinking that this means we get a new instructor 🤔 Gatecrasher was a Galen’s grad… or someone related to Kamiya? Honestly this is still too good for Reese as he’s still a Major with a cushy teaching job, but it’s realistic.
