Our first Nas reaction in a while - only on Patreon. Enjoy and thanks for watching! A note of Rewind - the video file was somehow corrupted and unfortunately won’t be going up. Sorry for that!

EXCLUSIVE: Nas - One Mic | Dad's Reaction

It’s fitting it seems as if he’s trying to portray all I need is myself and music and not the other stuff I rapped about and the drama.

CLASSIC!!!

Would love for you guys to react to j Cole - let nas down and made nas proud by nas. It’s an amazing back story

Emil

Late reply, but thank you Vinson, With an intriguing title like that it has to be a good track! If you haven’t heard it yet, check out the live version of Fragile, a song by Sting that he performs with Stevie Wonder. Blows me away every time I hear it. Stevie is a national treasure. (dad)

Nice suggestions! I really liked my intro to him, the Brown Sugar album, so for sure wie’ll be doing more D’Angelo eventually. (dad)

The FrontRoom

Love this. Can you review D’Angelo “How Does it Feel” the song and video and also his “Black Messiah” album

Jasmine Jemmott

It's a revolutionary song. He's talking about war. War in the streets

Mickey10 JB

I wanna say show him Heaven by Nas but if he heard Dance he probably heard Heaven cause it's right after it on the album.

Amanda B

Check out the fragility of life by Wordsworth

I subbed just for this reaction, you each had some clever insights but I am surprised that dad didn't pick up on the way this track builds up through each verse. That for me is greatest part of this track. But yes I absolutely agree you need to do some Nas and Damian Malrey. Specifically "Road to Zion" I have a feeling thats the one you had in mind so excited to see it. I believe that track wasnt actually on the album they did together but it was so well received that it played a big part in them making the album together.

Also you should react to the music video of one mic so you can show your Dad a more vivid visual of what you was explaining to your dad about the song.

I think you guys should cover the diss track of nas and jay-z as well as many other diss tracks from other rappers like ice cube vs. Nwa, or easy e vs. Dre and snoop, Dr. Dre vs. Easy e, eminen vs. Ja rule, 50 cent vs ja rule etc but bottom line I think you guys should cover those diss tracks

Teddy Biggums

Good shout, Paul. Both great choices

Hey Oshio, we actually covered Diamonds Are Forever in our Late Registration reaction. Check it out on Patreon it’s not on YouTube yet. Will do Flashing Lights with our next Ye album reaction 🤝

To Nas' credit with painting a picture. I've heard Nas say the way he writes his rhymes as simple scenes or scenarios and he just packs on adjectives and descriptors coupled 40+ years of rapping

Paul Salvador Estrada

It'd be interesting to listen to some Kings Disease Nas. Maybe "Nobody" feat Lauryn Hill or "First Time" from this last album. That song is basically the theme song of your show. I wonder how Dad would like HitBoy production

David

Hi Ki, may I suggest flashing lights and diamonds are forever - Kanye West. Love your content. God bless.
