Agreed… you’ll definitely nobody needs nobody and also IBN and Crowning Me from Playa Fly. Skinny Pimp’s album King of the Playaz Ball produced by early Three 6 right before they blew up, and Gangsta Blac’s 74 minutes of Funk. I was nervous your Dad was going to run out in the middle but was appreciative he was able to put it in context to the period and how Memphis low key had a major influence in the progression of rap today.

Wow, deep cut here. I grew up in Memphis during the 90's. The music scene was so undergroun, the sound so gritty, and the lyrics so grim, it created a sense of taboo. You felt like you were listening to something you weren't supposed to. Especially in the middle of the bible belt. It was reality and presented as counter culture. If you like Tommy, listen to Playa Fly.(maybe on YouTube, because most his albums are not on streaming) "Nobody Needs Nobody" is like the Memphis anthem
