in his interview with Zane Lowe pre-album release he talked about how he didn't want it on the album and 2009 isn't really a reference to his drug use 2009 was when everything started for him music wise, his career became a reality and he knows now all highs and lows of what comes with that career as a celebrity and musician

I have very fond memories of mac Miller from my time in college at Penn state. One of favorite artists of all time R.I.P easy Mac with the cheesy raps

730 means "Crazy." The term derives from the "730 motion," which is a court process filed by a defendant seeking an examination by a psychiatrist in order to determine the defendant's mental fitness to proceed to trial……yup

Yeah this whole album swimming was supposed to be him getting out of his drug addiction and finally feeling good “and I was drowning but now I’m swimming, through stressful waters to relief” and then the posthumous album circles is to connect it back that he’s swimming in circles and would never get out, two beautiful concept albums that your dad would love to hear as a whole

For both of your info, the line you don’t ever gotta worry, even when it’s 7:30 and the time is running low. 730 was a popular term for crazy in the 90’s early 2000’s, so that was a play on that. Even when he’s losing his mind and running out of time. So many great lines on this track

Beautiful THANK YOU! Miss mac so Much! There’s not a day that goes by that macs not played in my house! RIP just a kid from Pittsburgh! would love to see a whole album reaction Mac sets his albums beautiful circles would be awesome and explain how the album musically Never ends from once a day back into circles! Mac was a musical genius evolution in his musical brain to evolve as he did is one I never seen before. Thank for this again! I also wish your dad had the lyrics to this because I think he would enjoy it a lot more. Your dad did cal out how he puts words together, but with lyrics u can see how good he is at it. Sorry for such a long comment just close to my heart! Wish you guys nothing but the best!

To me "It ain't 2009 no more, I know what's behind that door" - refers to drug use in his youth where he didn't see the long-term consequence, but now he does.
