Dad Reacts to Jeezy - I Luv It

Great stuff from the South once again. So smooth, and love those ad-libs! So far I’m really digging this genre called “trap” as I go down yet another rabbit hole, thanks to Kai. Wondering and waiting for what he has in store for me next when it comes to this type of rap.

Hey Shawn. Thanks for keeping the subscription alive. Kai tells me he’s got lots of great rap planned and is totally open to suggestions. - Kai’s dad

It’s so great how we all connect certain music to a year an event or a person in our lives!

The FrontRoom

Also how u gonna mention parts of trap beats and not mention the bass lol I saw ur dad noticed DJ Toomps heavy 808s in the TI song he was lovin em Oh yeah I’m back w the subscription I was gonna bail on y’all cuz y’all was slow motion but I see y’all might be bringing it back so here take my $5 🤣

I was really trappin hard when this shit came out. I used to bag up and weigh my dope to that first jeezy mixtape among others. I remember when jeezy first came out he was put on in Atlanta by the notorious black mafia family BMF I got his mixtape outside of the club one night by some dude who was sellin it. I have since changed my life btw 😂

So trap music is about selling the type of drugs that might resemble a (snow)man. Trap music became trendy bc it was the first to use street drug lingo on pop radio hits. Making it like an anticulture

Drew

I would say and then what, soul survivor and put on for jeezy’s early radio hits

Alex Moore

That’s so true

The FrontRoom

It’ll happen soon! One of my favourite songs.

The FrontRoom

Show your Dad T.I.'s "24s", "big shit popping", "Hurt", "Top back remix" and "popping bottles". Also jeezy's "soul survivor", "put on", "my president black", "J.e.e.z.y", "I do", and "seen it all". Really big hits!!!

Jeezy is one of my favorite artists. He's not super technical but he's motivational. Even if you don't live that lifestyle

TommyBoi 3000

"I luv it". Hearing that snippet from intl. Players anthem has me looking forward to that video soon.

Jeezy’s first album is a certified banger. I highly recommend “Go Crazy” ft Jay-Z, “Let’s Get It/Sky’s the Limit” and “Trap Or Die” ft Bun B

SlumpJones

I remember this album bring on repeat my freshmen year of college.

Kamesha
