Their music seems so incredibly poignant, brimming over with feelings of sadness and regret but it also exudes an almost weird sense of joy, all expressed in swirling musical colors and textures. Kai's dad, even if you don't react to it, give the Beach House song "Elegy to the Void" a listen, I really think you'll love it. It's my favorite song from them and I think it's something you'll appreciate. Some other dream pop song recommendations... Hope Sandoval & the Warm Inventions - "Suzanne", Mazzy Star - "Common Burn", The Sundays - "Here's Where the Story Ends".
