Dad Sees Tupac & Biggie On Video! 1993 Freestyle (Patreon Exclusive!)
Added 2022-09-14 12:01:03 +0000 UTCWe are already halfway through September heading into Autumn! For WEEK 2 of this month's Patreon Exclusive series I decided to show my dad a legendary clip. Not only is it his first time seeing an artist we have covered freestyle, but his first time seeing Biggie and Pac on video. I bet most of you have seen this clip before, but if you haven't I'm curious to hear your thoughts.
Have a lovely day everyone!

2022-12-29 05:00:22 +0000 UTCI did not know that Jason! Thanks for the info. That definitely adds to the meaning then when Tupac said βThug Lifeβ as often he did haha

2022-10-07 12:25:48 +0000 UTCThis is kind of a different request but Iβd love to see you guys react to Tupacβs 1994 MTV interview. His intelligence and thought process are definitely shown through his songs but hearing him speak takes it to another level. https://youtu.be/pNSRx14s7B4

2022-09-19 20:50:00 +0000 UTCoh man this makes me wish you would react to Canibus, Big Pun, DMX, Mos Def, Mic Geronimo, and John Forte doing a cypher. it's such a classic and great video in hip-hop history. but i know dad hasn't seen anyone on that list yet except for DMX.

2022-09-15 16:54:23 +0000 UTCKAI & DAD, IF YOU WANT TO DIVE INTO THE "FREESTYLE" WATERS & I SEE THAT KAI MENTIONED IT, YOU HAVE TO REACT TO: "BLACK THOUGHT FREESTYLE ON FUNK FLEX". AND ALSO CHECK OUT & READ, BLACK THOUGHT'S INTERPETATION OF WHAT FREESTYLING IS. HE IS SO ON POINT WITH BOTH. TILL THIS DAY, HIS FREESTYLE IS STILL THE BEST EVER!π²β

2022-09-15 05:58:07 +0000 UTCHey Kai, I'm not sure if you know this or not but Thug Life was a group 2Pac formed in the early to mid 90's. Thug Life Vol 1 was basically a 2Pac album but its listed in Spotify under Thug Life. Another group he formed was The Outlawz. Their album, Still I Rise is another often overlooked 2Pac album, partially because it can be a little hard to find on Spotify by random chance, its under 2Pac Outlawz. I highly recommend checking both of them out if you haven't heard them before.

2022-09-14 18:01:12 +0000 UTCNice vid. I'm sure it's been recommended before, but since you bring up the freestyling and off-the-dome skills, it's almost obligatory now to get a reaction to Harry Mack. Or going a little more old school, Eyedea was also great.

2022-09-14 15:24:28 +0000 UTCOn another note. I know this video is probably pre #Koreanresturantgate! But Kai, I'm so glad to see you smile. I can't imagine how scary having severe peanut allergy is! But I know how dangerous it is! Keep smiling kiddo. Very impressed that you're still posting/+editing! X

2022-09-14 14:34:36 +0000 UTCThis clip is a definite classico! Its a fun watch that obviously has very sad undertones. Biggie was definitely a better wordsmith than Tupac, probably comes from him being jamaican as they're well known for that. But Tupac was way more intellectual with his lyric choices and had precise messages that he clearly wanted to pass on.
