This was an awesome one to do!

I absolutely love those two songs. Jay Electronica shows such a great amount of vulnerability, it's impossible not to feeling something.

Such an amazing song. Too many people don't react and/or listen to Jay Electronica. Memories & Merlot and Better In Tune With the Infinite are two more great songs I think your father will really enjoy.

I second how you described Jay E being a Nomad type artist! Brilliant way to describe him! I always look forward to reading your comments. You really feel what you're saying and I appreciate that! 😉

I LOVE that ya'll did this one. It's a brilliant work of art. BTW. Some of his references, ie "Voodoo Man" are derived from the New Orleans, Louisiana Voodoo background and culture. Like when he references walking in the French Quarter. He's from New Orleans. Like, Kai I know your familiar with his line "I used to get dizzy spells, here a little rain..." in which he references the post traumatic stress he (and others) endured due to living through and experiencing the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. So, quite a few of his lines are referring to New Orleans related experiences. Jay Elec, to me, is a true artist. A Nomad, who experiences life and incorporates that into his art along with his knowledge and beliefs. I appreciate how he doesn't seem to be interested in appealing to the masses but the masses are drawn to HIM and how his projects feel important. Similar to how Andre 3000 is now. Drops when he wants but when he does it feels important/necessary, well thought out. Again, I appreciate and respect your eclectic offerings and exposing your dad to a little of everything. Hip hop is not a monolith like some ppl feel it is and what you are introducing your dad to is vast. Great job
