2022-05-22 03:58:04 +0000 UTCGreat reactions guys - talking about how you love the music and it would stand on it's own, there's an album called Elmatic which was a tribute to Illmatic by a rapper called Elzhi, which is fantastic in it's own right, (they used a live band to cover the Illmatic tracks) - buuuutt there's an instrumental version of that called "Will Sessions - The Elmatic Instrumentals" which is basically live instrument covers of the Illmatic beats with some added flair - fantastic for putting on and just vibing to, or washing the dishes! I was shot and died twice, I had to learn how to walk again and my cousin took me a Walkman and Nas had just dropped this album it’s all I had to listen to for months in the hospital but it gave me motivation to get through my situation. This album is very sentimental and close to my heart.
