My investigation into the mysteriously "leaked" photos and sex tape led me to Sophie Schuyler, the young woman whom many allege is the main participant in the tape. But I knew there had to be more to the story.
The following conversation has been lightly edited for length and clarity.
Grace Day: OK, Sophie, I'm just going to start right off the bat by giving you a chance to respond to a rumor that's been going around: Did you intentionally release a sex tape of yourself, then frame the release as a leak?
Sophie Schuyler: Of course.
GD: Wait, you're just admitting that right from the start?
SS: Why shouldn't I? It's obviously me, and I obviously leaked it. Why shouldn't I admit it?
GD: Wow, this is going to be a quick interview. Why, though? What do you have to gain from pretending the tape was a leak? Or from releasing a tape at all?
SS: Listen, if you're going to go down that line of questioning, you could at least consider embedding the tape for your audience. It would be a helpful reference. And I always appreciate the extra exposure.
GD: We do have clips, but we felt it was best to seek out your permission before posting anything.
SS: You journalists are such fucking prudes.
GD: Hey, we never censor anything. We just need consent.
SS: And you've got it, silly! So post away. Show the fine people of the internet what it looks like when Sophie Schuyler takes it up the ass!
