Ah, how the mighty have fallen. You get the sense that Sam doesn't even really enjoy this: that she doesn't enjoy stripping Kali and stretching her out for the crowd to ogle, she just does it because she's a champion and that's what champions do.
I tried to pull back a little bit, letting some smartphones from the audience enter the frame, in order to really capture the panoramic, multimedia way that Kali's soul broke. I thought the text on one phone in particular was interesting, but I'll let you draw your own conclusions.
After the fight, Kali dusted herself and walked away, still the heir to a multi-million-dollar pharmaceutical empire, just with a slightly sorer back. She is still more or less untouchable and can get almost anything she wants—almost. I'd like to believe that Sam only humiliated Kali to teach her that actually, there are somethings money can't buy—talent, honor, dedication—but maybe I'm just sentimental that way.
