Speedrun Explained 61 (Update 5)
Added 2024-11-07 17:35:41 +0000 UTCHey all! been working hard on the next video (The Simpsons: Hit & Run All Story Missions) the past two weeks or so since finalizing the script with the runner. I did all the filming for the video (sans outro) to start the production process, which actually wasn't a lot of filming! Only a few minutes of footage. The hard part about this was setting up the camera into the correct camera angles for a few shots. The intro includes some fun edits that required specific angling. Speaking of editing, I followed up shooting with about two days of editing for just the intro! I'm incredibly happy with how the intro came together; it's a very snappy and fun first 35 seconds of the video that try to get you into the run as fast as possible while covering the main bases of the run. The recording and editing of the commentary/video has been coming along super smoothly as well. As of right now, I have the first ~17 minutes of the video complete, with the final runtime looking to be in the 80 minute range. The editing of these first 17 minutes included setting up several edits through the rest of the video, so hopefully the rest of the video should be largely smooth sailing! There's no reason to believe that it shouldn't. Based on my current pace and factoring in the runner reviewing it, release date on Patreon is looking like the week of November the 18th. Can't wait for you all to see it. It'll likely be the longest video I've made in almost five years! I think it'll be right around the length of my Battle for Bikini Bottom video, which was 1:21:12, though this video might squeak past that length and be the longest video I've made in over five years, which would be wild.
