Speedrun Explained 45: Update 3; Speedrun Explained 46 & 47 Update 2

Hey all! Tammy and I are now on the other side of our move and are settled and back online with internet, so I'm 100% back to making videos. Just a couple quick updates on the three videos in production at the moment. Plus a little surprise change with the November video.

So first is the upcoming Portal video. This video is slated to be out in October for sure. It'll be tight with it coming out likely right at the end of the month, but it is on its way this month. I'm currently in the editing stages and I honestly don't think I've had a project where I've had to bring in so many people to help proofread the script and provide footage for it. Seriously, this run is just so technical, and the first ~23 minutes or so of the video are the intro and just going over tech. Yeah... the run won't be starting until 23 minutes in lol that's how involved this run is. Like, it's a lot. But there's really no way for it to be explained in real-time without going over a colossal amount of info in advance. It is coming along though with around 6-7 minutes of it being edited so far. This is probably the last update on the video before it gets posted in a couple weeks.

The second video update is that before I mentioned that November would be an undetermined Fallout run if Portal were coming out in October. Well, things shifted around a bit, and instead of a video about Fallout, we're instead going to be covering the SASO speedrun of HITMAN 2 to follow up the Patron's Choice from last year of HITMAN (2016). This video is a bit of an experiment/trial with me bringing in a qualified speedrun friend to actually help me with writing/outlining the script to see how we work together. Hopefully less time will be spent on writing that script with their help, and the video will be a relatively smooth and quick production. If things go well, we plan to do a couple more trials with other videos/runs and see how we work as a team in the long-term with writing. I'll keep you updated on how it goes but just want to keep things rather vague for the time being for privacy sake :)

The last video in production is the Patron's Choice selection of Portal 2, which is underway with me having a call scheduled with the runner for next week to go over the run. Writing the script for that video will likely be on the backburner until the HITMAN 2 video is pretty far along in production, but production is underway. Then there is of course the Control run that was selected in the most recent Patron's Choice, but that run is a ways off so production hasn't started yet on it.
