Speedrun Explained 34: Update 3; Speedrun Explained 37: Update 2 (+ roadmap for the channel around the New Year)

Hey all! Hope everyone is doing well and staying stress-free leading up to the holidays. A couple quick updates for you!


So first off, ground is being made on that HITMAN (2016) video. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. I'd say hopefully, hopefully, you have it in the next two weeks. Likely the last few days of November, if not the start of December. I can't talk much more about it other than that, but yeah, it's finally going to be released soon. I apologize that it took so long, but the missing installment in the SPEEDRUN EXPLAINED series is coming soon.


The other update I have for you all is that the script for the Any% (Current Patch, No Clipping) speedrun of Bloodborne is underway! I had a Discord call with the runner a couple weeks ago (while production on the DEATHLOOP video was in full force), so I have a ton of notes to write the script from and am cruising along. This video falls behind the HITMAN video in production priority for obvious reasons, but I'm still moving along on this one when not working on the HITMAN project. It's hard to say what the timeframe for this video will be, but I'd say at the absolute earliest that you might have eyes on it the first week of December. More likely though that you'll see it mid-December though.


So now that these two videos are well underway, I'd just like to give a brief update as to what to expect from the channel in the coming months.


First off, these two videos are the last two videos that will be released in 2021. I'm hoping that I finish these in time so that I can spend the holidays working on projects for 2022 rather than 2021. As for projects in 2022, there are several on the horizon. In terms of SPEEDRUN EXPLAINED, I'd like to cover Dark Souls III and Demon's Souls in the first couple months of the year to round out the Soulsborne series (aside from Elden Ring). We're also getting closer and closer to 250 Patrons, so if we cross that barrier, we'll have that game as well to cover! The last thing in terms of projects for 2022 is one that I've wanted to do for a long time, that I'm dubbing "Speedrunning and You! What, Why, and How?" More info on that later (maybe around the holidays). Until then, have an above average day everyone!
