It's also one of those stories no one can really prove, but indulge in for the sake for a good tale. But she swears it happened, even when she always does so with a laugh, and says that the only reason no one else saw it was because at the time, she was staying at the house by herself, and it was late at night in a sparsely populated neighborhood in the middle of nowhere.
That, and the fact that there were multiple meteors shooting past the sky that night.

A freak solar storm causes a global blackout that takes months for the world to recover from. In the aftermath of the phenomenon, witnesses of meteor crashes all over the world appear to be having strange dreams.
Despite never having seen the December 2020 Meteor Event yourself, you happen to be one of them.
