Added 2022-11-13 01:21:28 +0000 UTCToil is the certainty which defines the life of a peasant. Long days in the field, planting, tending and harvesting. Wet, muddy work under an uncaring sky. Harvest celebrations provide a momentary reprieve from the daily grind. After harvest comes the fear. Will the Daimyo tax more this year for the war? In a lean year bandits will raid, how many ronin can the village afford? Will they be worse than the raiders?
The war is not all bad, some years the war reaches the village, bodies littering the fields. The trinkets and bodies ‘lost’ in the paddies can be worth more than the harvest to the ‘right’ parties, who these business partners are, the crones don’t share with the village.

This is our Akira Kurosawa inspired (black and white versions of this forthcoming for patrons), Rice Farm map set, 14 maps in all. Interior and exterior versions, variants include day, night, dead dragon, peach orchard and World’s End. As always available in gridded and ungridded format.
