Steam fills the room obscuring the faces of the bathers. Choosing the right bathing spot can make the day. The two loud boors near the entrance are best avoided. Young drunks, most likely they will be scrubbing floors in atonement before morning.

The hot, almost scalding waters are best entered without grimace or grin. Settled in, this is great, the day’s woes dissolve away. A glance at the new neighbours, hopefully no need for the tattooed brute to the right. Is that the Daimyo’s Quartermaster to the left? This is promising, time to move over and get to work. Wait, that’s not the quartermaster, it is his idiot half-brother. Curses he has made eye contact. Well at least the water is relaxing.

Here is our Onsen map set, 16 long maps with steam, bones, pollution, and manta rays. Indoors and outside with a multi-tailed fox shrine.

Nothing adventurers need more after a day of hard fighting than a relaxing dip in the hot spring. Great for catching gossip, deal making and getting quests. And no armour, weapons or components at hand. Note the smug looking monks.
