Announcement - What was and what's to come

Hey guys,

here's me giving you a proper update instead of just the small one in the author's note. Took a bit to get everything together.

So, first of all. I'm not having a lot of fun with uni. Not sure what I'm going to do about it but I'll tell you when I figure it out. The short of it is that I did bad on exams I thought I did good on and on top of that, I have nobody to talk to about uni stuff. I'm a bit of a reclusive person and almost ten years older than the average student in my lessons so there's little connecting me with other students. I'll figure something out...

That said, I'm getting back into more writing now that I have a decent idea of where Owl is going for the final bits. It took me two weeks to get things all lined up but I now have a plan. I'm finishing the current volume 10 with about 10 to 15 more chapters and then there's going to be two more volumes. I plan 30 chapters per volume but I won't be surprised if they bloat a little. 

All of my Owl chapters also go through review by a few friendly peers in my writing group so there's going to be a little more delay for hopefully a lot more quality. I think Chapter 314 has already profited a lot. Chapters will be whenever they are ready. Not making any promises that I might then break. Quality and getting it done is the most important part.

On the other side, my Pokémon fanfic is a lot of fun to write. I didn't get back to that until I had Owl set up and 314 was in work so that story has suffered a delay as well. It's on RR (link) if you want to read it. Unless you're super into reading on Patreon. Then I'll upload it here as well at the same time it goes public. Chapter nine of that is going to go up after one last editing pass today.

My brain also came up with another stupid idea but I don't like the quality of that. If something ever comes from it, I'll put it up here first.

Now, here's the real deal: I want to publish a book. Like actually, properly, through a publisher. I currently have two ideas on how to go about that. First, rewrite the beginning of Owl with the help of my writing group. Second: Finish Pegasus Nebula and try to make it a one-off novel. Once I have something decent in hand, I can look for a publisher.

The reason for all that is that I should at some point find a way to make money. And with uni being... eh... I'm looking for alternatives. Patreon isn't going to be it, at least with Owl. Maybe my next series will take off but that's not something I want to get into before finishing Owl. So a one-off or a rewrite it is. Time-scale: This year. And if I have to drop out of uni and get a part-time job, that's okay. I think. Life is a struggle. That's for me to figure out and when I have a solution on hand, I'll tell you all about it.

Finally, to everyone that's still here: Thank you for your continued support. You really make my day. There will be more common chapter releases in the near future and I hope those will make your day(s).
