Weekly Update - 18th June 2020

 Hey guys, hope you're having a great week!

I just wanted to check-in a provide a bit of an update as it's been a busy week for me at work and limited my creation time a little.

Boring personal stuff... Blah Blah...

As some of you might know I work as a designer for a design agency specialising in stream design and content creation. Fortunately, even through the pandemic the business has been going from strength to strength and I've been asked to take on the role of Creative Director. A big jump for me, the biggest of my career by far. But a challenge I can't wait to meet head on. The past week or so has been a little crazy as I settle into the role but normal service should resume very soon!

What's coming up...

The plan at the moment is to complete Butcher and The Blade next. I'll be using the designs for Butcher's attire as the basis of the logo tutorial so keep an eye out for that. I'm hoping to have the tutorial recorded and up for you within the next week. (By 27th at the very latest!)

New Gear!

So, I did bring this up on the discord but for those of you who aren't on there (You definitely should be!) I've been using my patreon funds to reinvest in streaming and content creation gear. I've got a bit of a roadmap that I'd love to achieve and I'm already well on the way to making that happen with all of your incredible support.

So far I've invested in a new Capture Card, Stream Deck, Condeser Mic and Boom Arm. This should really help with tutorial capture in the short term and possible streams longer term.

I've got a few more items on my roadmap, but we're getting closer to having a really viable setup. Next up are: Camera and Lens, Lighting and Greenscreen. Not cheap pick ups sadly but I can definitely continue to make content without them, I'll keep you posted!

Q&A

Which brings me nicely onto the Q&A. It's pencilled in with Nickbreaker and we do plan to do this, I'm just waiting on purchasing my camera etc. first to make sure it's worth your time. Don't worry it hasn't been forgotten.

Suggestions and Merch

Annnnd last up is a bit of an open question. Since starting the Patreon I've been amazed every day by the support and every new member that joins puts a smile on my face. I would love to be able to give something more back to you guys and I've been looking into merch options which Patreon provide. I'd love to hear your thoughts on what merch if any you'd like to see. From what I can tell these only work on higher tiers than I currently offer so I may look at a seperate third party solution depending on what the feedback is. Let me know! I'd love to hear from you...
