About the Manga
- Plot
- Cyndy’s Toytoy candy is a line of sweets that give you superpowers. Which is why shortly after they were released, Tokyo was destroyed by lollipops. Tsumugi Minase is a young high school girl who loves sweets and has lollipop powers, making her a suspect in the destruction of Tokyo because every sweets user is supposed to have unique powers.
- For that reason, she is tailed by Misaki Midori, an agent of the sweets police, or Recette. Tsumugi saves his life, revealing her secret but gaining his trust. Soon, however, after being defeated by a much stronger Recette Agent named Irie who uses Ice Cream powers, Tsumugi reveals that she wants to be a Recette agent to track down the evil lollipop user, and Irie agrees, challenging her to complete the training.
- Tsumugi gets paired with Umino, the cowardly son of the chief of Recette as the exam is attacked by popcorn and bubblegum users, respectively, who work for the lollipop user. Tsumugi fights them off but the group then attacks them at school, trying to defeat Irie and Misaki, who they think is Tsumugi.
- Tsumugi and Irie successfully defeat them, but the Recette show up to take everyone including Tsumugi in for arrest. When suddenly Amado, the lollipop user who attacked Tokyo shows up to destroy them. Tsumugi is losing until she turns her lollipops INTO FUCKING GIGANTOR and defeats him.
- Two years later Tsumugi is a member of the Recette and toy toy technology is in the hands of the government don’t worry about it

Why it failed
- Some pages look kinda sloppy and the proportions can get weird with giant heads which makes everyone look like kids
- I feel it’s not cheesy enough like man I wanted to see some dumb fucking food puns
- The proportions seem really weird so everything feels kind of off
- The plot kind of feels meandering like the second chapter felt like very little happened in it
- The world just feels kind of bland, why is nothing associated with the sweets users?
- Where are the food puns I’m very disappointed
- Why is this series so constrained on the candy powers that’s the appeal of it
- It has this weird tone where I think it wanted ty be a parody but I feel an editor or someone told them to tone it down
- I feel lampshading poor writing still doesn’t excuse the series having poor writing where the dialog is very fast-paced and disjointed
- Oh man it really recycles pannels
What it did well
- I like the art design
- Had a fun color page
- This is a fun idea
- \the humor can be very wholesome but the jokes are repeated a lot
- I actually like the twist on the exam in that they fucked up and got penalized for it
- It really does try and play tropes up a little differently
- The writing is great
- The characters actually feel like teenagers because teens are stupid and self conscious and overly concerned about their self image
Where it could have gone
- Made it all the anti-sweets people were diabetic
- Gone full out with the candy powers
- This series needed to have an arc before the training exam as yeah it was fun it just kinda was frustrating as every bad series does a training exam
- Get rid of the MC having to hide her powers it takes away the entire gimmick of the series
Misc Thoughts
- I feel this would have been better fully colored
- Why does every fucking manga have an exam arc
- I appreciate the lack of nepotism
- Why did they give everyone confeito when it’s so powerful and dangerous to get in the wrong hands?
- So everyone has candy-based superpowers but NO ONE HAS SKITTLES TOUCH
- A special ops branch that uses chopsticks
