The Next Steps for the Patreon...

Hey folks!

Before I start, I just wanted to say thanks for all the support thus far, regardless of the tier.

Most of us are aware of the recent Nexus TOS Enforcement of their Donation/Monetization Policy. 

I know we all still want everything to continue as normal here with Patreon- which is why I'm making changes to how the Patreon is advertised.

I will still link the Patreon from the Nexus page, but remove any hints of "early access" or "requests" in the advertising. The link(s) will merely ask to support Kerstyn and me.

I think this recent enforcement of the TOS was for people who really paywall and sell their mods- 'the bad apples' of the modding community.  You know... the people who paywall forever, keep mods in perpetual beta states, SELL armor conversations, that stuff.

 I think there’s good enough rapport within the SDA community to see that I’m not a money-grubbing scumbag who doesn't care about the integrity of the modding spirit. 

First and foremost, Serana Dialogue Add-On has always been at its core, a free mod. It will never be "freemium" or have exclusive content only paying people can access. 

Perks like "early access" and "custom names" are a way for me to thank people for supporting me, not a tangible product I am selling nor a commissioned service. 

You are not paying me for something that only you have to gain- since with the "early access" you are helping beta test the mod and iron out bugs for future users, and for "custom names" you are adding in names that everyone can use. Everyone in the community ultimately benefits from your support.

Again, this Patreon is first and foremost a donation page, and I have no obligation to sell you anything.  

This Martimius Mods Patreon is and always will be for people who want to contribute to the mod's development, and not for those who want a product.

I have NEVER, or EVER WILL plan to make exclusive and paywalled versions of the mod for "customers".

Now what does this mean for the whole custom name requests April 30 deadline? There will be no April 30 deadline anymore.

As originally planned, the deadline will be once Version 3.1 has been written and a dry-run has been recorded. 

Any request made after that deadline will automatically get included in 3.2. For $5 Patrons, once a 3.1 dev build has been made, you will help beta test and preview the features for the future release. And as usual, a preview version will be available to everyone in two weeks, with an actual full release within a week.
