A Natural Approach series part 9

I think you are right. Definitely a scythe, but that is a good suggestion on the rope or ribbon.

Hi Michael, my farmer mind guesses the tool is a scythe and it looks like they tied a ribbon on the pole maybe for safety?

Awesome! Super happy the last couple posts have helped you. That means a lot. I'm encouraged with the progression of this piece and look forward to pushing it to a high level of understanding or "completion"

Jan, I agree... when I rewatched a section of this earlier I thought to myself gosh, I use my finger a lot! That's why my gloves have become a must while working. A couple thoughts. 1.) this may be avoided if you use more brushes, I tend to clean my brush off in my paper towel a lot. But the same could be accomplished with a few clean and organized brushes while working. 2.) definitely test stuff, it's apparent in this series because we are working from a b&w picture but even if I was painting some flowers from life I usually lay something down and slightly alter it. I remix every note or calculation basically

Inspiring Michael! Loved this session, for a myriad of reasons 🙏🏻

learning a lot by watching your "testing" and mark making. Especially like the daubing and the way you used your finger tip to daub at the distant trees. Cool. Gotta remember to test more.
