Production Update 6/24/25

Erm, let's pretend like its the 21st, yeah?

Sorry for the delay! I've been kind of frazzled and a bit all over the place, just got some stuff to show off and say thanks!

Art update:
Not too much to show on my end this time, I finished the phone sprites for our new character along with the captain's. These will get some use but I just wanted to get them done now as its always nice to have. I'm working on one CG for the update but its in no place to show right now. The big thing I'm sure you can see is the menu art! So, let me know what you think, it's all still very WIP (the design, the art is final). The game title shouldnt be in the top corner and I need to fix a few things, but I thought it was time to change up the menus a bit! The piece is by https://www.furaffinity.net/user/tommyzz123/ and is not really indicative of anything in particular, so don't worry about spoilers yet, hah. If you're worried the menu (buttons) look too genereic, well, the idea is to actually get a few menu pieces and have a way to swap between them, so you can set the one you like! So it's better if the menu can blend in with any background. (The new font choice is only for menus, not the actual script) Also, just as a note, this is NOT the promo art for this update, so there's more good art to come! Also, also, speaking of changing the menus-

Coding update:
So, trying to change the menus has some obvious issues when it comes to coding. We're working on that but right now its a bit messed up, so I'm hoping that it will all be fixed in time for next month, which I'm -hoping- to release an update! The main menu works perfectly, its mostly the pause menu and the galleries that need some touching up. . . as well as 100 other things, heh.

Writing update:
Been sick. Bad month. The script is at about 26k and I'm hoping for like 32k for the final? I'll have time to finish it but I've not been particularly happy with the speed at its all going. That being said, its quite good. The new character is very fun to write, and I'm sure youll all enjoy spending time with him!

That's kind of it! Hoping for an update next month and remember, the most important thing is to leave any feedback that you have, it really helps me out! This is kind of a big one, and I'll show off the menus when I can, but I'm hoping it comes along well!
