We call it The Basis—the grounding element that unites all of reality.

2. The Unbroken Continuity of Existence

• Since something cannot logically emerge from nothing, The Basis implies that something has always existed. This existence, whether continuous, cyclic, or beyond our understanding, is the essential “ground code” upon which everything else is built.

• Members are free to interpret The Basis as they see fit. For some, it may represent a scientific principle, an infinite cycle, a cosmic consciousness, or simply an unknown force. Each perspective is valid within the Infinite Choice.

3. The Infinite Choice

• The Infinite Choice is a central tenet of the church, emphasizing that every avatar is free to create their own understanding of The Basis. Whether personified (like a diety), seen as an abstract force (like gravity), or accepted as pure mystery (like the plot of kingdom hearts), each individual has the power to interpret The Basis through their own lens.

• The Church of New Game Plus offers no revelations but instead Reflections—questions, symbols, and ideas that encourage personal exploration of The Basis and the world built upon it.

4. Reflections, Not Revelations

• Since none can fully know the nature of The Basis, we embrace Reflections instead of Revelations. Rather than claiming to know ultimate truths, we engage in reflection to deepen our understanding and find meaning in our lives.

• Reflections offer insights without claiming authority. Each reflection is a tool for avatars to ponder, question, and explore their relationship with The Basis.

5. Choosing Your Own Lore

• The Basis is the starting point, but each avatar is invited to create their own “lore”—a unique interpretation of the world, their journey, and the experiences they encounter. This lore can be influenced by any belief, culture, philosophy, or personal insight.

• By Choosing Your Own Lore, avatars shape their path with agency and personal meaning. The church encourages diversity in lore, believing that each avatar’s journey adds to the richness of the whole.

6. The Quest for Understanding

• While we may never fully understand The Basis, we see the journey as sacred. The quest to comprehend the something rather than fixate on nothing gives life its mystery, purpose, and depth. Each quest is a step toward greater awareness, self-discovery, and insight.
