What are some questions you have for a therapist?

I need some new content and im switching to working with my community directly. I need help coming up with new articles! Could you please me some questions so I can answer them?

This is maybe a weird question, but I’m wondering if therapists can answer questions posed by clients directly, specifically questions that ask them to identify something as abusive or toxic. I have such a hard time trusting myself, and I know my therapist wants to encourage me to build that self-confidence in my perceptions. But sometimes I want assurances and direct answers. Is that weird or okay or am I working against the point of therapy?

Heres some questions I get from people new to therapy: 1) “how does therapy work? What happens here?” 2) “what’s the point of talking about how I feel and why I feel that way? HOW does that help me?” 3) “Therapy is supposed to make you not feel bad feelings, right?” 4) “The more I talk about, and find out why I have these patterns, the worse I’m feeling. Does that mean I’m doing therapy wrong?” ... I’m curious how you answer these 😁

Therapist here- I’ve been working hard to use my platforms and engage with individual people, and working with my supervisees around, unpacking the internalized white supremacy culture within the therapist field. So many clinicians have abusive experiences with parents, especially some of my supervisees of color, and then those experiences are replicated in white supremacist, hierarchical, negative reinforcement-based field placements and employment positions. Clients and supervisees should absolutely be asking clinicians/supervisors what we are doing to unpack our internalized white supremacy culture each day and be able to hold each other accountable- especially if the relationships are cross racial and the person with more power is a white person (like myself). Maybe something to that effect?
