April Discord Chat Recap & Lyric Help Request

Yesterday Peter and Lloyd held this months chat session over on the Discord server. So this is just a quick recap of what we discussed.

Peter began by mentioning a bit of information he had learnt in researching Willy Wonka. Gene Wilder wrote and insisted on the little fall and cane in Wonka's first appearance on camera. Wilder said he would turn down the movie if the director didn't go along with it. Which is pretty cool. As it was undoubtedly a great idea.

In answer to someone querying about Thatcher vs Bismarck Lloyd said he would be open to the idea of bringing in Iron Man into the mix. Peter even exclaimed Thatcher vs Iron Man might be the better route all round... "unfortunately". Either way a Thatcher battle is still very much on the table and we'll just have to see how it shapes up down the line.

The idea of Spiderman vs Peter Pan was brought up (which polled phenomenally well last year both on Patreon and YouTube). It's not exactly a match-up either Pete or Lloyd are in love with, but Peter indicated it might well be the best match-up for Spiderman.

Pete suggested we brainstorm a few lyric ideas for Spiderman or Peter Pan. Perhaps to test if it had any quickfire appeal. A few ideas came together. "If you were a real Spider you'd shoot that jizz rope from your ass, now all you do is talk from it". "How can you throw shade at me dude? When your own shadow runs away from you?" "Your whole Lost Boys thing is kinda iffy, I'll pass on Peter Pan, I prefer Skippy". :o)

A short discussion took place about potential cameo appearances. The main characters suggested were J. Jonah Jameson and Captain Hook. But, you also have the likes of Tinkerbell, Wendy, Green Goblin, Dr Octopus etc.

Peter moved on to discuss the situation with beats for the upcoming battles. He said we had found beats we think are perfect for Kong vs Godzilla, Bezos vs Musa and Gogh vs Warhol. He also confirmed that a full first demo had been recorded for Bezos vs Musa. 

Discussion moved to discussing the state of lyrics for the planned battles. They are all a work in progress. He stated it would be good to get lyrics submitted on the Discord writing channels for specific topics that we'd like more joke ideas for. *I will list those further down the page.

Peter concluded the session stating how he's blown away by learning about Andy Warhol and he's enjoying the research a lot. He had previously underestimated what a huge presence he actually was in modern culture. He's looking forward to learning more. He is unsure however who would be best to portray Warhol. Initially he had assumed Lloyd but it is currently up in the air.

Jeff Bezos vs Mansa Musa

- Building of Mosques, schools and libraries

- Bringing scholars and merchants into Mali and the area

- Introduction of Mali on the world stage

- Catalan Atlas

- Caravan jokes

- The fact that Mansa helped expand one kingdom and Bezos opened up the entire world.

- Jeff stepping down as CEO

- Bezos was very close with his Grandpa

- Praying 

- Book stores & Publishing companies

- The whole "dick pic" scandal
