OP66: Revelations I

The inside of Robin's room was nothing like the outside. Veyron and his group sat on her bed, a little tight. Tsuru and Gion sat at the table. After serving some tea, an awkward Robin sat on a chair. The only light in this room was a dimly lit candle.

The boy looked around, the room was small but filled with books of all kinds, this woman loved to read.

Veyron's eyes then looked towards Robin and he found her regarding him, upon meeting his gaze she evaded it courtly.

The boy stood up and stretched, gaining everyone's attention.

"Aree? it is a bit tight here if only there was anywhere else to sit..."

Robin's eyebrows flinched a bit when their eyes met again, she was about to pat her lap when a pair of claws pulled Veyron onto her lap. An ominous aura enveloped him coming from the four Boa mother and sisters.

"Are you comfortable now, sweetie?~"

"Y-Yes, thanks..."

It wasn't like he didn't want to be with them, but meeting Robin for the first time Veyron could hardly control himself in front of her. He ended up settling down here lest he be turned into stone.

"Are you Dracule Veyron? The young boy who debuted two years ago, with a bounty of one billion bellies" Robin spoke first.

"That is me, it is a pleasure to meet you, my lady".

"Fufu~ you're such a sweet boy".

'He's a perverted fiend disguising himself as a kid!' The Boa family proclaimed inwardly, that he was at it again, seducing another woman with his cuteness.

After that brief exchange, Veyron coughed and got down to business, there were more important matters at hand.

"How did you know I was Dracule Veyron, Tsuru?"

"Even if you were to be Dark Mantle's twin brother... it would be extremely unlikely that you also have the 4th Haki".

From the get-go, she started using terms that drew confusion in the meeting room... Veyron had only spoken to them briefly about this power which he declared was not a devil fruit, but Primrose didn't know much more than that. Conqueror Haki on its own was already very secret and scarce among the population. Nobody interrupted and allowed them to speak, hoping they'd reveal more information.

"Did Garp tell you about me? can you sense it?"

"He did tell me but I can't sense it. Only those with Conqueror Haki can detect a user of the Haki of Dreamers. I used simple logic. If you were Dark Mantle's twin brother, that meant the two of you should have the same height... it didn't make sense for you to be that much taller unless you were using that power just like you did in Sabaody".

'This old woman is clever! why the heck did you need to go through such an intricate theory?!'.

*cough!*

"In any case, you exposed me, what are you going to do now?"

"Nothing, as I said... my objective here is not you, Dracule Veyron, or you Nico Robin. My objective is to hunt down Peter Hornigold an ex-marine we have spent a vast amount of resources on".

Having cleared out that matter, Tsuru then addressed her directly.

"What can you tell us about Peter Hornigold? I promise that in exchange for that information, I'll put you on a safe ship onwards to Alabasta, free of charge... we will also pay you the amount of eighty million bellies as you'd be cooperating on the hunt of a man worth five hundred million".

"You're being quite indulgent with a criminal, Tsuru" The rear admiral didn't seem to like this arrangement but Tsuru sighed as there were things that she knew that the rest didn't know. In reality, she didn't want to apprehend Robin, 'This girl's only crime was to be born in the wrong place at the wrong time'.

"We're running out of time if we waste any more he's likely to enter the new world, and by then... we will lose his trace. That or he will accept to become a Warlord which could be even worse".

"First, could you tell me how you found me?" Robin crossed her legs and inquired, a little relieved that they weren't there to catch her but she still had her doubts, For all, she knew they could be lying... but with people like Dracule Veyron and the empress of Amazon Lily in the room, that seemed unlikely.

A part of her imagined that the reason he was been pursued was the same as her. At a young age, she was placed in a bounty and labelled as a demon for nothing. Similarly, she had wanted to meet him ever since she saw his young appearance in the wanted poster.

Compared to her though, his bounty was so high she couldn't even comprehend what he could have done to obtain it at such a young age. She had a lot of questions, just like the 4th Haki or whatever that they just mentioned. What was even Haki?

Little by little things would get clearer, Tsuru started giving her explanation and it only made things worse.

"When we bumped into each other, I put some 'soap' on you. Also, you're one of the few in these alleys that has a pure heart, I can trace that".

The vice admiral's explanations formed more questions than answers in Robin's mind.

"It is not a secret I ate the wash wash fruit paramecia It gives me plenty of abilities related to doing house shores~"

"Is it awakened?" Veyron asked, following on the knowledge he got from Rayleigh in which a person like Hancock could obtain a ridiculous set of abilities related to her fruit.

"I'm surprised you know that term, boy... that is right, my fruit is awakened but that's beyond the point".

"Thanks for answering. I know a lot about Peter Hornigold. Compared to what people think, he's not in Jaya. He sailed towards the east three days ago" Robin confirmed.

That revelation slanted a few groans in the room, especially from Gion and Primrose.

"So what did he call me to Jaya for?!".

"It is a matter of timing. I heard he has an unhealthy obsession with you. Hornigold remained on this island for two years waiting for you, what a coincidence for you to come here only three days after he departed" Robin added.

"Do you know his destination?"

"The knock-up stream... I heard that in a conversation, a year ago he sought me looking for information about you, Boa Primrose. But I had no idea where you were, nobody I asked knew either, It was like you disappeared from the map, it was then that he attacked the Kuja Pirates expecting for you to be there, but you weren't".

"Do you know anything about my vice captain, Shawty?!".

"I didn't personally see her, but Peter's crewmates did talk about a prisoner in their ship".

"D-Did he do anything to her?!"

"No, physical torture wasn't mentioned, but... it seems she's been deprived of food and water as a form of torture, she may already be"

"Don't finish that sentence".

"..."

Veyron had to put his hand on Primrose's shoulder to comfort her, she wasn't having the best day.

"If he's going to the knock-up stream, that means he intends to go to Skypea" Veyron asserted, it was the same method the straw hats used, "You said he's Birkan?".

"Yes... the Birka tribe from the white sea. This has gotten a lot more complicated. The knock-up stream is unpredictable" Tsuru groaned in annoyance.

"The sky islands exist, Tsuru?" Gion had no idea what they were even talking about, as a matter of fact only Veyron and Tsuru seemed to understand one another.

"It is long lost knowledge, but this island, Jaya... used to be bigger. The knock-up stream is a massive underwater geyser that activates several times a month, it has enough strength to propel even islands to the skies. In summary, there is an island floating in the sky right now as we speak and Hornigold is likely heading there".

"How do you know all these things?"

"There are a lot of things that I know that others don't, Momousagi. Now, boy. If you would, I'm sure you can do something about this".
