Xi Jinping has forced himself into full dictator status with a 3rd term, replacing all of the checks and balances left within the Communist Party of China. This is the end for many Chinese, and the beginning of a new era, with a belligerent China ready to face off with the rest of the world, both militarily, and economically... but that probably won't work out.

Dictators need unifying war or boogeyman to oppress when things go south. Xi is just following the SOP for dictators...
