Thank you for all your match-up submissions over the last week or so. Peter has offered feedback on seven of them below. If your idea didn't get selected don't worry - we read them all. And you can vote on this set of seven in the associated poll here:

The theme for the next round of selections is 'Flash In The Pan' so we will be looking for at least two of the match-ups selected for feedback to be FITP style picks. Best of all Pete is going to select one of the FITP ideas for you guys to actually write collectively in the Discord server! If the guys like what you come up with they may make it into an actual video one day.
We are gonna keep repeating this process every two weeks so the #makethisbattle channel is now back open in the Discord. Or you can leave your three match-up ideas in the comments below or email us at erbpatreon@gmail.com

Caligula vs George III (submitted by Mblpns & Mr Morden)
I had to look up Caligula, which is never a great sign. I had his name confused with that horse show that has billboards everywhere. George III is great, rich, thick, fun, all the words we like to hear around potential characters. The connection between the two isn't obvious to me right off the bat, but that's okay, doesn't always have to be, and I'm confident there's something interesting there. If we're doing another roman emperor, it seems like Nero would be next in line as far as name recognition and general audience historical knowledge, but he is certainly kind of a duncy character, which is never that fun. Overall, I don't hate it, I don't love Caligula, I do kinda love George III, and I'll look deeper into Caligula to understand why he might just be a great opponent for George III and give us a reason to do a little history lesson.
Sitting Bull vs Spartacus (submitted by Evan Powell)
Awesome. Really awesome. We've had our eyes on Sitting Bull or Crazy Horse for a long time. This is a nice match-up. I'm really impressed. I've never seen this before (doesn't automatically mean it hasn't been given before) and I've never thought or talked about Spartacus in a battle before. Really cool suggestion that goes near the top of a small pile. That pile is if we can cast _________, this would be awesome. Sitting Bull is challenging casting wise. I feel it has to be a Native American dude, who's a really good rapper with a strong sense of humor. It's not impossible. I saw the suggestion of casting the rapper 'Supaman' - he's amazing, but seems to be very serious, it's the added comedy element that is tricky
King Tut vs Louis XIV (submitted by TeeMDee)
Fun match-up. Not my favorite opponent for King Tut, but it is a fun match-up. Louis XIV I've never much considered, but certainly is again fun and rich. He doesn't appear to be thick, that magical last adjective. I don't know exactly what I mean by "thick" but I feel like Shaka Zulu has it, Che Guevara has it, and Louis XIV doesn't. I think it's kind of an ability to take an attack verse and come back strong with a 2nd verse. Louis XIV just feels like he would have a tantrum or order his guards to take over. King Tut has always felt like someone who just needs to be in a battle someday. It's challenging casting again, as I think he died in his early teens, but again not impossible.
Robin Hood vs Billy the Kid (submitted by purplekiren)
Yay. We've got richness, thickness, and fun. So much material on Robin Hood its ridiculous. Less is well and universally known about Billy the Kid, but there's enough there with cowboy stereotypes that it would work. All that said, it doesn't get me excited. I don't know why. But there's something missing, and I think.... it's because Robin Hood is so done he's already been parodied. Like, if a new Robin Hood movie came out right now, I don't think anyone would be that jazzed. I think unfortunately Robin Hood has played himself out a little bit.
Oda Nobunaga vs Charlemagne (submitted by FoxDoc)
Googling... okay, obviously a big figure in Japanese history. He feels like the Alexander Hamilton of ancient Japan. That said, the opening paragraph of his Wikipedia was already a little boring. I like the richness of the history, but I just feel like the "who?" that most people will feel is not answered by any kind of "ohhh yeah that dude" that they would feel in the first verse. Charlemagne is almost exactly that feeling I think, for "Westerners" anyway. I think a lot of people know the name, know it has something to do with Europe, and remember Sean Connery talking about him in Indiana Jones III, but that's about it. He's a great candidate for ERB, and Oda is awesome and I'm going to go back now to learn some more about him. But, my gut says I don't think he'll make it into a battle, at least not before opening the door to more Japanese characters... starting with an anime director.
Jigsaw vs The Riddler (submitted by Cooloverwatchfan01)
I mean, I want to hate on this, but it's real fun, and would probably be popular, so I'll pitch it to Lloyd and see what he thinks. This isn't the kind of battle I would normally start the ball rolling on, but I'm the one who said "no" to Bill Gates vs Steve Jobs for like a year too so.... what do I know?
King Arthur vs JFK (submitted by TeeMDee)
I've always shied away from JFK because I just think we'd butcher that accent, and neither of us look a damn bit like him. I've always shied away from King Arthur because I feel like he's another one (like Robin Hood) that's just been done to death and no one is really that excited to hear from again. "Oh awesome... it's King Arthur!" just doesn't feel like something anyone has said since 1998. I was about to ask what the connection was, and then I realized the Camelot thing, and I now like it even less. I would like to put this suggestion into a stone, so that only one man may ever pull it out again. Then I would find that man and remove his arms.

So remember - for the next round of submissions pick three match-up ideas and feel free to make one of them a FITP idea (it can be as wacky or niche as you like). We will select a bunch for feedback including at least two FITP suggestions. One FITP idea will be selected for you guys to write together in the Discord server.
The deadline for submissions is Thursday 1st August. So, get your brains whirring.
We have reopened up the #make-this-battle channel on Discord for you to submit new match-up ideas - or you can post them in the comments below or email them to us. (As always - its a maximum three suggestions each).
