Hey Laowinners!

Amidst all of this Trump and Kim summit talk, I decided not to express my opinion, and instead, give you all an early release of probably one of my most entertaining videos.
When in Hong Kong, I hotel hopped in high season in order to find the cheapest one.

Very funny results ensued.

When my daughter and I were in HK, we first (to treat ourselves) stayed in a regular hotel, the Ovolo. BUT for the rest of the time we stayed at the Anne Black YWCA at 5 Man Fuk Rd, Ho Man Tin, Hong Kong. It houses all people (I think there is one floor for only women) and it also has a restaurant attached. The rooms were clean, we had twin beds in ours, with attached bath, and centrally located (not to mention the fabulous French pastry shop nearby!). We really enjoyed it and it was a quick walk to the subway. Most people never think of the "Y" but when I was young and used to spend a lot of weekends in New York City, my friend and I would stay at the "Y" for ... okay it WAS a long time ago, but for ... $5.00 a night! Also centrally located. So, those are the kinds of places I look into. Also, I DID see children there, too. We couldn't afford better and the Ovolo was actually in Sham Shui Po so you can imagine what that was like. Definitely not as advertised. But the "Y" was terrific! :) Their phone: +852 2713 9211 I know the "Y" doesn't sound glamorous, but it was clean, safe and had all we needed and in a great location. Highly recommended!
