A New Request format. Easier. Informative. But please read...this changes a bunch of things.

Nathan here again, stirring it up 😂. We've got a big change coming to how we do requests, and we are excited to announce it. This will take effect starting March 1st, so there's time to let it sink in. But we think you'll all appreciate the streamlining of this method, and it will definitely reduce confusion and the chances of requests getting lost.

1st BIG Change: The request tier ($25 Tier "Big Welper") and the $200 tier (which hasn't been used yet) will be phased out. If you already have a request in using that tier, submit your request the usual way: send us a message in Patreon. And for those that purchased a year-long subscription to that tier, we'll honour your purchase right up until that term ends. Again, keep submitting your request monthly via Patreon message. We'll keep checking the messages to make sure we don't miss it, and we'll add it to the queue on the date that you send your message with the request information. But yes - sadly, it is going to disappear.

2nd BIG Change: Requests will now be submitted through PayPal (and other options) ONLY using a very carefully put together Google Form I've been working on for awhile. The form has an agreement/explanation page, a payment portal offering PayPal and/or credit card options at various prices, and a very streamlined information gathering section that gets the information and links from you and organizes it into a spreadsheet that we can keep track of and know exactly when and who submitted a request.

3rd BIG Change: Pricing. We've run into a similar (and good) problem that we've had in the past - for the first month EVER we have had 50 people submit requests, something I never thought I'd see. It creates a time problem, unfortunately, and we are finding that we are barely keeping up with the requests, and have almost no time to do anything else. We talked a lot about potentially increasing our request prices, but we decided not to since members would already be paying more if they had to pay their Patreon membership cost + the cost of a request. So going forward, these are the new prices and options for members and non-members.

1. If you are NOT a member of our Patreon, or if you are at the Free or $2 Welpling Tier, the cost of making a request will change from $25 to $30.  This does two things: The higher cost for non-Patron request will likely deter the number of requests that come outside of Patreon, and it will encourage more people to join the higher tiers - Welper and Super Welper.

2. If you are a member of the two $10 Welper tiers or the $15 Super Welper tier, the cost of a request will be $25 per request. We didn't change the price, but as I said - many members have had the benefits of the membership and a request, and we've now separated that out and made it distinct from Patreon, so there will be an added cost for some.

3. In addition to changing the pricing, we've also added a new feature, totally optional, for those that want to put a rush order on their request. Normally your request goes into the queue, and we have 30 days to process it. We've been ok at getting to them as soon as we can, but occasionally we have people that really want us to react right away, and have to wait. Now, for an additional $7, we'll put your request at the front of the queue, and we'll do it at our next opportunity to do requests (instead of at the back of the line). Make sense? Again - completely optional.

And the 4th Biggish change (not really), is that we ask that you make a maximum of 3 requests per person. It was at 4 before, and we've found that our ability to keep up with that volume of requests has become overwhelming. Also - the request portal form DOES have a method of taking payment for larger requests (longer videos, songs longer than 10 minutes, etc), but we need to know in advance what the request will be and give you a price BEORE you submit your payment.

So there you go. Lots of change, but in the end we feel this will be a great shift towards providing better content, allowing us to free up a bit more time and ultimately giving you the best part of our time to dedicate to your requests. There's bound to be questions, so feel free to ask them below.

And here's the most important part - the link to the new form! Check it out:

And yes - this means the Guidelines for Requests document will need to be updated. That's my next task :)

Comments

Welp, seeing as how I have forgotten to submit a request at all the past 3 months, I guess a downgrade can't hurt me 🤣

Awesome! Good to know thanks
