How to Make A Song/Short Media Request: A Welp Guide

Hey all - Nathan here. As the the Welpdom grows into its every-expanding branches, Ryan and I are aware that sometimes not everything is easy to find or that everyone knows how everything works. This Welp-ful guide should give you all the information you will need to make a request, what will happen once your request is submitted, and how long to expect before it is fulfilled. Please read through to ensure you understand everything here before you make your request. It will save you time and energy ;)

1. Anyone can make a request. You do not have to be a Patron to do so. The difference is that if you are a Patron at the $10 or $15 Tier (Welper or Super Welper), you get a discount on any requests you make. Non-Patrons and Lower Tier Patrons will be charged $30 for any requests, and Welpers and Super Welpers will be charged $25 per request. And when I say charged I mean when you go through the request portal document (check it out here), that is the cost to make a request - no additional funds will be charged to your Patreon account :)

NOTE: The $25 Tier (Big Welper) is being phased out, and as of March 1, 2025 will no longer grant requests. If you are in that tier on a month-to-month basis, you'll need to drop down to a different tier as it is being discontinued. If you paid for a year subscription at that tier, we will continue to honour your monthly requests until your yearly subscription ends, at which point you'll need to choose a different tier.

2. You can make up to three requests per month through the portal. This is to ensure that we don't get overloaded with requests in the future, and it prevents spamming the request queue with all the same artist.

3. Song/Media requests are subject to our approval, and at $25 or $30 must be no longer than 10 minutes per song. If the run time for a song/media goes over this, we may request additional funds to cover the extra time. Please do not try to edit videos so that they are just under 10 minutes - we would rather watch media in its entirety than watch a chopped-up version. Furthermore, we occasionally get requests for content that we are already familiar with or have reacted to previously. It is a good idea to check YouTube prior to any request, to make sure the request is something we've never seen or heard before.

4. Once we have agreed to react to & review your request, we add your request to the content queue. We will do our absolute best to get to it as soon as possible, and we generally complete your request no later that 30 days after we have agreed to the request. We understand that some would like us to respond sooner than this; however, we have limited time and we feel that giving the assurance that your request will be responded to within 30 days is more than generous given our time restraints and limitations. If we do not fulfill your request within 30 days, feel free to message us - there is a rare possibility that we may have forgotten or that we missed your message.

5. If you want us to put a RUSH on your request (put it at the front of the queue), you can pay an extra $7 per request to have us record it at the next possible request recording session. That way you can ensure that we respond right away.

5. If you have submitted a request and 30 days has elapsed, please reach out. Our new system of using the Request Portal is designed to help us catch any missing requests, but if for some reason we missed it, please let us know. We're not perfect, and if we mess up we'll either refund you or make it up right away.
