In this case. the bride to be says no, so the boyfriend is left with the champagne but not for celebration but as the "problem" of being rejected when he proposed. If the protagonist of the song had said yes, maybe Taylor would have called the song "champagne celebration." He even brought Dom Pérignon champagne which is considered the best champagne.

Country was what she initially gravitated to and was brought up on in a sense but the amount of pop that girl listened to even before Red tells me it was something bubbling inside of her. Also she’s written some pop classics, which is hard to do if it wasn’t organically her :)

2024-01-03 04:54:44 +0000 UTCHi guys, somehow i got off of the notifications over the summer and am missing these live events. Either way, i don’t think she can do a small venue, too much demand. I see her doing a more festival kind of style with her friends, like HAIM, the national, Bon iver, Mumford and Sons, the Bleachers, Phoebe Bridgers and Boygenius, Sabrina Carpenter, maybe even Salina Gomez, Ed Sheeran, Paramore, etc. A festival that she would arrange and put together so it’s still big, lots of people, but her own thing. She typically doesn’t do festivals but if she arranged it then I think that is exactly what she would like to do. Play music with her friends.

It might not have an emotional connection for you, but given what she was going through at the time she wrote reputation, she definitely was emotionally connected to was she was writing. I understand that you like Evermore and Folklore better than Reputation, and that is fine, but Reputation is as much TS as any other of her albums.

2024-01-02 23:31:57 +0000 UTCNo way she can do a small stripped down tour. It would be waaaaay too exclusive. If you think this was competitive that would be a bloodbath. And at heart Taylor loves being a pop girl. I think she will go back to touring each new album. She didn’t tour the last 3 ( lover, folklore, evermore) because of the pandemic. It would have been weird to just do lover through midnights. And she’s doing the re-record project, so this was the perfect time to do Eras. Even if she toured something like folklore or evermore only, it would have been a big spectacle (as evident by the folklore and evermore portions of this concert). She loves the theatrics. She also loves her fans (and winning) too much to go down from stadiums if she can sell stadiums.
