I grew up in a house that was located right on the beach where my "frontyard" was basically the beech/ ocean. so the sound of the seagulls transports me to my childhood and I love it. In this song, the seagulls represent the Bahamas where they were when they broke up. If you look at the cover and the pictures in the 989 TV album there's the beach and the seagulls. A lot ppl don't recognize the sound as seagulls and they think it's TS yelling, but it's not. For me it's second nature bc I'm so familiar with that sound.
