A trio of LGR Blerbs this week

Greetings! I have been trying to get some LGR videos made for December, but ideas have mostly been elusive and so far nothing's come together quite yet. It's made especially tricky since 99% of the collection is in storage and I don't have my usual setup going anymore while the house is being fixed up... Though I do have two in the pipeline finally, so we'll see what happens there.

In the meantime, I put together some videos for LGR Blerbs to get the creative juices flowing and induce the mood to film! Normally I don't post these here on Patreon but eh, why not?

There are three of them going up this week, two of which are already live and the third one (the cig machine) won't go up till Friday. So I hope you enjoy!

Forget OPB, when you can get the full flavored smokes, I mean reviews, of LGR... :) Surgeon General Warning: Consumption of LGR may induce overwhelming sensations of nostalgia.

As mentioned in the post above, yes :)

Cool videos! Something about mini is versions of big items is cool. Think you have it in you this year for a Xmas video?

"Sucky Trike" is the best of the fake brands!

Darn it, I thought 1/6th scale is a common one and popular with anime figures. I have a Play Arts - Squall Leonhart from Final Fantasy VIII, it doesn't say on the box, but it seems it's 1/8 (around 20cm ~ 7.87402 inches). I had a Final Fantasy XV - Noctis figure in the Play Arts Kai line, that has got to be 1/6, it was super tall compared to Squall, the Internet says it's 11.6".

You'd think, but nope! All the Duke figures have been in the most common action figure size, 1/10 scale, meaning they're only seven inches tall. Same goes for my Gordon Freeman, Doomguy, etc. 12-inch 1/6 scale figures are less common and quite a bit more costly, at least for licensed characters. About the best option I've seen is creating your own figures using a generic 1/6 scale action figure and then making/finding custom clothing and accessories.

You probably have at least one 1/6th scale figure lying around, maybe a Duke Nukem. You really need to make a 1/6th figure stand next to these, make them look like they are interacting with the devices, that would totally sell the illusion. Do you have Duke figures? I wanted to get a DNF when it was cheap but I wasn't in a hurry. Since then the prices trippled at least on those, back in 2011 nobody wanted them but now they are collectors' items.

These could go on the main channel imho

No kidding! I never took advantage of the obviously available underage purchases because my dad smoked and I hated it, and also because I went the smokeless route at 15 and had friends on the school bus buy my vice of choice lol. But these existed until I was driving age in the mid/late-90s, and even then I couldn't believe places still had them. Just crazy considering how terrible the effects are.

Ha, ain't that the truth. What a time to have been alive. Childhood in the south was weird and wonderful, awful and awesome — often at the same time.

LGR

So freaking Kool! (pun intended). These were absolutely EVERYWHERE back in the days of my childhood (80s-90s) in NC and (even more so) vacationing in SC to see family. What legal limits? We don't need stinking limits keeping kids from buying tobacco from a vending machine! Especially when so many were placed in the entryway to businesses like Waffle House and truck stops, and were nowhere near any supervising eyes. Edit: added decades for accuracy
