That last verse from 'All in a Mouse's Night' was of the cat telling his adventure story to his cat friends. Of course, he's altering a few of the facts to make a better story. I suppose the cat follows the philosophy of the newspaperman from John Ford's 'The Man Who Shot Liberty Valence' who said: 'When the legend becomes fact, print the legend.' In my opinion, one of Tony Banks' preoccupations concerns how myths are born.

Ryan I'm with you on this one. I love this album and I wasn't aware there was controversy over this one. I'm also glad to see that you are also watching the video interviews from each album. It's interesting to see them all individually talking about the albums, but you also see that they are all still good friends. It's a complicated friendship with some, just like being divorced but still remaining friendly with your x. Just a note about Steve. You can see from the Wind & Wuthering interview that he is very shy, that's why he sat in those early videos. He wasn't comfortable getting attention or with his contributions to the group. I'm not sure if you knew this but in 1982 the band got back together to perform the entire Lamb album as a benefit for Peter who was having financial difficulties funding his WOMAD (World of Music and Dance) festival. My point is if they weren't still friends that show would have never happened, unfortunately, no one had the sense to film it. There are horrible audio recordings but that's it. PS" the WOMAD festivals were great, I went to one and it was very cool. 10 stages including the main stage with bands and music from all over the globe, talk about expanding one's musical horizon, geez this was the gold standard of that.

Glad you got to hear In That Quiet Earth properly in the studio and not on the crappy live recording I sent you (granted, a rare track to hear Steve play but it sure got some people riled up). Loved the interview at the end!
