It's been a while since I listened to Seconds Out, so this was fun to hear again.
One thing to mention, Ryan, since you're following Phil in tandem with Peter and Genesis. Phil's first foray outside of Genesis wasn't actually his solo career. He hooked up with a developing five-piece instrumental jazz fusion group called Brand X in 1975 (yes, the same year as The Lamb). More info here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brand_X
I'm not that big into jazz, but I did purchase the album Product (1979) and it even has a couple songs that Phil sang on (Don't Make Waves and Soho). I think Product is an interesting album to listen to if you ever get the chance.
Oh, and if you google "brand x phil collins" you'll see a couple live videos with Phil playing.
