Obligatory 2017 Year-End Games List

Because this is what we do this time of year.

Obligatory 2017 Year-End Games List

Comments

Thanks for the list. Keep your great work up, guys!

ZULEYKA GAMES

:D Can't wait for what 2018 will offer us gamers!! :D

for PUBG, just use the latest geforce drivers, massive boost. 1080 and go, ultra details and way over 60fps everywhere

If you like Mario Odyssey, you really need to check out A Hat in Time. Very solid (and cute) indie 3D platformer from this year.

Hey, Clint. I'm not sure where to contact you. I have something you might be interested in (TI Super Speak and Math). If you'd like it, I'm reinkeann@gmail.com

I like the idea of talking about the games that had an impact good and bad rather than trying to force a Best of 2017 type of list, which you'd need a team of journalists to even scratch the surface on lets be honest.

Shapey Fiend

Well, this is certainly reminding me to check out like, at least half of these games on the list that I've had an interest in for quite a while! But alas, I still have other games to finish first - at least the holiday time off from work is giving me some more time to catch up :)

Prey is a 2017 GOTY for me, but I've already learned how divisive that game is, so won't try to convert you ;) Still, there's always hoping that some time in the future you'll give it a second chance (like that other youtuber did) and this time it will "click". On the similar note - Wolfenstein: TNC disappointed me beyond the point, when I'm no longer looking for the third and final part. Shame really...

Nice video Clint. Have a nice Christmas (don't forget to let Christmas LGR out of the cupboard)

Tim Wilcox

It really is a lovely game. A retro throwback that embraces what made those classic games so great while updating a few of the more annoying bits with a wink and a nod (ie., dust collecting instead of pixel hunting, hehe)

LGR

I mean, if I had to pick just one game to play all year, DOS2 wouldn't be a bad choice👍

LGR

Aye, it just really lacked a soul or something, it's hard to pinpoint.

LGR

I really enjoyed Thimbleweed Park too. I never really liked those type of games much, but this one really made me chuckle a lot. So many amusing references.

DOS2 and Thimbleweed Park are awesome, but I don't seem to care a lot about most of the other games I see on peoples lists this year. I think I'm getting old (then again: DOS2 is about the only game I've been playing past 2 months or so).

Marnix

Last game I played was Neverwinter 2. What happened to games in the meanwhile!!! Impressive

I do these every year :) Thanks!

LGR

Well dang, that must've just happened since it was still listed as such yesterday when I recorded! Crazy timing.

I was all excited as heck to try Prey out, and as soon as the demo dropped, it's what I did. Granted, I was doing so on PS4, but I found myself kinda underwhelmed with it too. I had so many other friends raving about it - but it left me cold, but a new Shock-esque experience was kinda what I was craving, and I feel bad it didn't click.

Rob Caporetto

Good vid. Quick note: PUBG is no longer in early access.

Zach LeBlanc

It's nice hearing someone say many of the things I was thinking about Prey. I described it to friends as the best game I've ever hated. It ticks all of the boxes in terms of style, but I absolutely hated the stealth and combat, and it was a slog to finish. And I loved the Dishonored games! I generally agree with your other picks as well, and am hoping to start the original D:OS after the holidays. Great video as always!

Travis Howard

Ahah, didn't expect this from you! Quality video as well, you write well and you're voice is excellent! Now, what's really the best MIDI card for BOTW :o)
