yikes, playing it with a controller sounds like torture. I was assuming it would have controlled like the classic console versions of the Sims back in the Gamecube era. I don't really understand why it took so many years to port this if they literally made no changes... So wack

Decades later, and we're still suffering the same problems as Starcraft 64! At least consoles have since gotten their own RTS style games that work well for the controls, not so much with a "Sims" style game.

Sure thing! It seems they're committing to keeping it updated alongside PC as well, so that's nice but I hope they address the controls

I'm at least glad that EA decided to actually include all the patches and most of the DLCs onto the console versions of the game instead of doing what they usually do, but I don't think the problems you stated with the console UI and controller scheme would be worth the $50-$60 drop for me. Maybe the time they spent porting this game for console they could've improved the game on PC, but yeah sure...whatever you say EA.
