LGR - Cooking Pop-Tarts with a retro alarm clock

Heh. I love this little thing.

LGR - Cooking Pop-Tarts with a retro alarm clock

Comments

Love that clock, and now I want some Pop-Tarts dammit :D

Svante Skoog

Did you know unfrosted is actually the original Pop-Tart style? They didn't even come with frosting until years later!

LGR

Now I know who actually buys the unfrosted...

Andrew Lentz

Clocktarts.

Ian Larrea

It's...

I was kinda hoping it was like a clock that ran so hot you tried sitting a poptart ontop it to cook like an egg on a car hood. Still neat though. Love that style of look for tech. 70's industrial futuristic or whatever

SuperBunnyBun

what is so hat that it is cool and so cool that it is hot?

Ezydenias

Staying retro even when it comes to toaster pastries. I respect the commitment! ;)

Purple Tentacle

Haha, well then, welcome back in the most LGR way possible :)

LGR

Blueberry! And they're unfrosted because blueberry doesn't need frost to taste good. Plus, unfrosted is the original old school Pop-Tart :)

LGR

Wait, but the unanswered question - WHAT TYPE OF POP-TARTS WERE THEY?!? Also, they're unfrosted in the preview pic... Why unfrosted Pop-Tarts?!? So many important questions!

Purple Tentacle

I log into this site for the first time in a while and this is the first thing I see. I for one am extremely content my money is going into my dreams when I glance

Eric Christopher

Yes the power regulator board is right under there so that area gets really warm and since it's flat a lot of people refer to it as the coffee warmer!

Andrew Buffenmyer

Dooooo it. Put an LGR spin on it, like... turn on a bunch of old computers and clocks (and possibly involve a record player/cassette player/what have you), use your big box games as weights, and end it with it serving you freshly-heated pizza or something. :D

Lindsay Michelle

Oh man, I'd love to recreate that BTTF opening

LGR

Hehe, I must remember this whenever I get around to reviewing it

LGR

It's the late '70s, who needs grounding :P

LGR

Yep, that's the idea!

LGR

They were as good as pop-tarts get :)

LGR

That's what I thought. I figured the clock got hot or something. :P

Brojaye

the real question is: were the poptarts good?

Evan B

hahahahha awesome

Evan B

Awesome. So the Timer On will set the time to turn on the outlets, and Timer Off will turn it back off? That means this is not only somewhat automated, but also somewhat efficient!

Zem Hysong

Sir, the video title card is misleading. I thought you were going to cook poptarts right on top of the clock. Booooooooo!!! But on the other hand, the alarm that turns on the appliances makes me think of the intro to Back to the Future. :D

Lindsay Michelle

Ungrounded for your unprotection! 8D

Kris Asick

Ha. The ti-99-4a had a built in coffee warmer in front of the cartridge slot
