LGR - Turbo Science - DOS PC Game Review

Getting' back in the groove of things :) I've mostly moved into my new place, and I am really loving it. Lots more space, more convenience, and I'm making a fantastic space to work in.

This video is the first creation of the new office space! The footage is still being filmed in my collection room, since that's an entirely separate space that I rent and will continue to for the foreseeable future. But on the back-end, it's all new stuff! Which explains the slight echo, heh. Working on that. Thank you so much for the continued support this month, it means the world to me.

LGR - Turbo Science - DOS PC Game Review

Comments

Makes me wish they made a Toejam and Earl educational game.

That theme song sounded a lot like the Incredible Machine's more intense numbers. Great review, Clint!

Man, that title sounds so 90s. Looks like a good take on an educational title though - actually dig having to *solve* the problems, instead of just plucking answers out.

Rob Caporetto

really getting some mileage out of that *practice mode* sound byte from "Extreme Rock Climbing"

Everyone in this game looks like Dippy Fresh from Gravity Falls

Man, I have so much to say... first, hell and/or fuck yeah, science! Secondly, love that it's repping the physical science in particular; I have a degree in Physical Science, and I work in a chemistry lab, so props for that! :) This does look like a fun edutainment science game. The closest I got to that was the Magic School Bus games, but they were still fun! I am assuming you tried that recipe for queso. If you did, was it delicious? :)

The best was the Sierra logo at the beginning wasn't?

Christian Meneses

Hunh... not entirely certain this game would've impressed me as a kid. Making quiz questions more engaging with a variety of tools to use to figure things out is commendable... but when all is said and done I think even my kid-self would've gotten bored with this one sooner or later. :P

Looking forward to making it :)

I plan to review it eventually! Til then, I actually did a full playthrough here: <a href="https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLICCKfB55WbTjRc9YP-iNVNnGIJNh8UGd" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLICCKfB55WbTjRc9YP-iNVNnGIJNh8UGd</a>

Looking forward to a new tour ;)

You should do Willy Beamish. All I remember from that game is that the plot didn't make a lick of sense. (Though it tried to be so cute that you were mean to overlook all that.) Still, a game that still sticks in your mind after all these years when all the rest have faded had something going for it.
