Modders are already on the case, and the content they're putting out is great!

ETS2 is still the game to get, but this one's got so much promise. Tons of mods already, too!

Heh, I think they chose the cities based on their trucking industry connections? Cuz yeah, some of the locations are odd at first glance

Yeah, it's something I've noticed when driving cross-country. So many of em.

Of all the cities to include from California, they select...Stockton? Ick. Still, despite having driven Highway 99 and I-5 for years now I still might pick this up to see how they're shown in-game.

Bit of a bummer that they launched with such a limited amount of content - sure the lower price helps compensate, but it sounds like it's a wait for them to flesh it out type of deal.
Or go buy Euro instead (which I think a bunch of friends of mine are still enjoying)…

I know what you're trying to say, especially since those are two different types of games to start with anyways. I've been considering trying virtual trucking for a while, though! I do get the appeal of Truck Simulator but I think you kind of have to be in the right mindset to really enjoy the game.

Only two states is quite disappointing. It seems more like Californian Truck Simulator rather than American Truck Simulator. I was really looking forward to driving around the entirety of the US. Hopefully a lot more is added with DLC in the future. I'll stick with UTS2 for the time being.

I could think of no other song to start this out with!
And yeah, not sure I'd recommend it in the same way as I would GTA, heh. But it's great in its own right for just zoning out while roaming around the country.

Heh, I half expected to see some wild driving around with crashes. :P
Interesting regardless. Too bad there was no epic flying trucks like with what had happened to you on Train Simulator. lol

I approve of your choice of background music. I spent my childhood listening to my dad's Born in the USA cassette tape on my Walkman constantly. :D Also, I don't know if this game would appeal to me. I love driving around in GTA V looking at all the gorgeous backdrops (especially sunsets in certain areas... :o) but I don't know if could do it for hours on end. Maybe I'll give a Truck Simulator game a shot when the mood strikes me and I have the time. :)
